AnnLICIOUS

The following is a piece i created in my video class this Spring.

I used found footage of Ann Margret from the movie "Tommy", as well as footage of her from the movie "Bye Bye Birdie" in combination with a song that i sampled and remixed.

INSPIRATION

Being in a video class this semester has really made me think more about different forms of art and creativity. And although i know these next videos were made for reasons outside of art (home movie or commercial purposes) i have found elements in them that i would like to include in my work: including humor, color, movement...and more, but they are great to watch, even just for a good laugh.

2006-2007: Rome, a Re-Cap

Although there is a good amount of Black and White from Rome that I have yet to scan, I believe that the work I did in color was the most important for me because it really led me in a new direction. It also was reassuring to come out of the year with some nice pieces considering color was a subject that I had yet to "tackle" prior to going to Rome, and everything I did was self-taught.
